  • Cherry Capital Airport reported 935,816 inbound and outbound travelers for 2025 (a 19% increase over 2024) and hit record traffic with its busiest days on July 5 and 6.  Traverse City Record-Eagle

  • Cherry Capital Airport will receive a $1 million state grant to fund PFAS testing, monitoring, and equipment cleaning as part of a $9 million package distributed among 19 local airports.  Traverse City Record-Eagle

  • Traverse City residents can share their views on Interlochen State Park's new management plan through an online survey open until Feb. 22. The Department of Natural Resources said a public meeting will follow in summer to gather more input.  UpNorthLive
  • County commissioners met Wednesday morning to discuss the abrupt closure of United We Smile—a free dental clinic that provided over $3.7 million in care for veterans and others, closing Jan. 2 due to financial challenges—and plan to form a working group to explore ways to continue its services.  UpNorthLive

  • Munson Healthcare released new details about an August data breach that affected over 100,000 patients.
