- ➤ Traverse City Comedy Fest announced more performers, including Hacks star Megan Stalter + Saturday Night Live veteran Sarah Sherman to co-headline the 8 p.m. kickoff on April 16 at the Park Place Hotel, with Joe DeVito set for shows on April 17 and April 18 at the Comedy Club. - ➤ City crews are plowing heavy snowfall and stacking it at snow piles near the Safe Harbor Shelter and Public Works building (a third pile will be added near the airport later this week) as rising snow levels push capacity limits. UpNorthLive
- ➤ Bicyclists on West Front Street will have more room as the city begins preventative maintenance from Boardman Avenue to Pine Street — the project will add a new cape seal to improve roadway safety. City engineer Anne Pagano detailed the work during Monday’s commission meeting. Traverse City Record-Eagle
- ➤ Traverse City Fire Department is hiring new paramedics to become the city's primary ambulance transport agency but is not set to complete the transition by July. Department chief Jim Tuller and EMS administrator Kathryn Dunklow told city commissioners that additional hires are needed. Traverse City Record-Eagle
- ➤ Northern Michigan road commissions have kept plow trucks busy daily since Thanksgiving amid icy roads and drifting snow, and they secured a second load of salt and sand for winter work (residents must keep at least 200 feet from plows), raising fuel and equipment costs. UpNorthLive
