- ➤ On Thursday, Bryan Morse (a level-2 operating engineer at Azuria Water Solutions) used a launcher to seal cracked sewer mains under Traverse City's streets at Bay Street without digging up the pavement. Traverse City Record-Eagle
- ➤ Nonprofit 22 2 None will host its 'Fight the Fight' Fundraiser on March 10 at Twin Birch Golf Club & Restaurant in Kalkaska from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to support free veteran programs, including funding for Belay My Last Barracks in South Boardman. 9&10 News
- ➤ Garland Street between Hall and Union will be closed to through traffic from Monday, Mar. 9 until 5 p.m. on Mar. 20 as work takes place next to a new hotel, with the south sidewalk remaining open and the north side closed. Traverse City Record-Eagle

- ➤ 7 Bells LLC plans to convert a former bank at the northeast corner of highways into a new Taco Bell with drive-through service. The proposal is causing concerns in the community along U.S.-31 and Acme Road. Traverse City Record-Eagle

- ➤ The Great Lakes Children’s Museum opened Shipwreck at Curiosity Bay, an interactive exhibit at Curiosity Place inside Grand Traverse Mall, on Mar. 5 to let families explore Great Lakes shipwrecks through play and learn about STEM and maritime history. 9&10 News

- ➤ The Traverse Area Public Schools Board of Education will discuss $17.2 million for a new Afterschool Clubhouse and Multi-Purpose Fieldhouse at a Monday evening meeting, including a 9.28% construction contingency funded by donations + 2018 capital bond funds. Traverse City Record-Eagle
- ➤ Publishers and educators in Traverse City discussed how AI tools are changing writing methods. They explained that as AI helps answer search queries and generate ideas, the industry is exploring ways to keep writing a human art. Traverse City Record-Eagle

- ➤ Jacobs from the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant reported that a study on hydrogen sulfide odor is up for discussion—finding that parts-per-billion levels can cause a nuisance compared with the much higher typical measurements at the plant. Traverse City Record-Eagle
