- ➤ On March 13 at about 6:18 a.m., Wexford County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on E. M-115 near West Division Street in Cherry Grove Township when a 26-year-old Marion man struck Kevin Hoover, a 41-year-old pedestrian from Cadillac who died at the scene—investigators rule out speed or alcohol and the case remains under investigation. 9&10 News

- ➤ Meteorologist Heather Bricca visited Kingsley Elementary School in Grand Traverse County on Thursday morning and taught over 200 kindergarten and third grade students how to forecast weather. - ➤ Safer Kids, Safer Schools received a $10,000 Rotary Charities grant late last month to study ways to run after-school programs for Traverse City Area Public School middle schools. - ➤ Women face challenges in engineering — biases and a tough workplace climate keep their numbers low. Society of Women Engineers said that women hold only 13% of engineering jobs and Angelica Scott, the only female engineer at the Grand Traverse County Road Commission, must work twice as hard — a fact that may discourage more women from joining the field. 9&10 News
