- ➤ The Soo Locks began the 2026 shipping season just after midnight Wednesday — drawing about 150 onlookers as the first vessel passed through Poe Lock. Captain Bruce Beeker said his vessel is headed to Superior for an iron ore pickup en route to Toledo. UpNorthLive
- ➤ Grand Traverse Resort & Spa won the Traverse City Tourism hospitality award on Wednesday, Mar. 25 and will host spring events soon. The resort earned the accolade for its service and plans to unveil its spring schedule for local guests. 9&10 News
