  • Short’s Brewing will anchor a new 16,000 sqft mixed-use space at Logan’s Landing East along Boardman Lake set to open in April 2027. The brewery partners with investors (including CEO Scott Newman-Bale and founder Joe Short) to bring food, craft beer, live music and events to a Traverse City area.  UpNorthLive
  • Chipotle is planning a drive-through with online pickup at the former Macy’s parking lot at Grand Traverse Mall in Garfield Township — the planning commission will review the proposal and discuss it today at 7 p.m. at 3848 Veterans Drive.  9&10 News
  • Greenrock Farm, owned by Alan and Fran Jones, grew double-gold raspberry plants as a niche crop two years ago and had its first successful harvest last year; market customers calling the fruit salmon berries noted that some berries remained unripe when November weather arrived.  Traverse City Record-Eagle

  • Mackinac Island is preparing for a busy summer celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with historic sites set to reopen in early May. Fort Mackinac will debut four new exhibits & Fort Michilimackinac will welcome visitors during the season’s special events.  9&10 News
  • Surfaces Art Supplies is hosting a mandala and breathwork class this Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will offer a second session on Tuesday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for $55 per person.  UpNorthLive

  • A ribbon cutting welcomed the new Joseph C. Fisher Early Childhood + Family Center in Traverse City on Tuesday afternoon. The renovated facility offers indoor play areas, accessible outdoor space and group rooms for early learning and family support.  UpNorthLive

  • The Traverse City City Commission approved spending $37,042.75 for a tanker of low-sulfur diesel on Monday (a 78% price jump from last month) as officials warned rising fuel costs may soon limit vehicle operations and prompt a move to electrify the fleet.  9&10 News
