- ➤ A $10,000 matching gift challenge is boosting efforts to restore Beulah courts as donations have reached over $58,000 toward the $140,000 goal. Local organizers led by Beulah Boosters Support the Courts say matching funds remain active & donations may be tripled through employer matches. 9&10 News

- ➤ A fire and explosion on Wednesday night forced Rare Bird Brewpub to close temporarily after special European rubber wrapped kegs caught fire — the incident caused heavy smoke and water damage and led emergency crews to contain the blaze early Thursday. 9&10 News

- ➤ 20Fathoms in Traverse City has announced Northern Michigan Startup Week from April 20-24, featuring events on AI and bluetech. - ➤ Floodwaters begin receding in Traverse City today but many roads, trails and a sinkhole near E. Front Street remain closed as county officials warn residents and visitors to take extra caution amid expected rain. They ask anyone with flood damage to submit a report (via the county survey). - ➤ Bellaire Dam operators say water levels remain stable but the Ready stage warning stays in effect due to unpredictable rains, while officials advise all townships along the Upper Chain of Lakes to temporarily close boat launches until flood waters recede — downstream municipalities are urged to follow suit. - ➤ Flooding caused by heavy rain and snowmelt continues to impact Traverse County roads and lakeside areas today, with warnings in effect until 745 PM in parts and small craft facing hazardous conditions on lakes from 4 PM to 5 AM Monday (with 4–7 inches of rain reported recently).
