  • The Antrim Women’s Alliance will host its fundraiser The Price is Right on Apr. 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Overlook at the Chief in Bellaire (doors open at 5:30 p.m.). The event offers live music, games, appetizers, and a cash bar to benefit local nonprofits.  9&10 News
  • Sleder’s Family Tavern, Michigan’s oldest continuously operated restaurant in Traverse City, is set to say goodbye to longtime caretaker Kurt Henry, who died April 6 just shy of his 70th birthday; he worked there for over 40 years — sometimes nearly 50 — often long after the customers had left.  Traverse City Record-Eagle

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The DDA approved a contract of up to $2,954,218 for a long-proposed pavilion at Sara Hardy Farmers Market — which also funds stormwater upgrades — with construction expected to begin this summer.  Traverse City Record-Eagle

HEALTH NEWS

  • Munson Healthcare consolidated its urgent care services to the Foster Family Community Health Center on April 17, closing its West location on US 31. Virtual care remains available online & affected staff were offered new roles within the system.  9&10 News
