- ➤ The Northwest Food Coalition will host its third annual Empty Bowls event on May 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Howe Arena in Traverse City. - ➤ Crews removed the pedestrian bridge over West Civic Center Drive Monday as part of the Civic Center Walking Track Improvements Project—support work for a replacement bridge has begun with the new bridge expected to arrive in May and be installed in June, and final project work set to conclude by July 25.
