  • Nicholas Schram from Lapeer County was sentenced Friday to two to five years in prison for causing a head-on collision last May in Grand Traverse County that killed Traverse City West athlete Sam DeKuiper—five others in his truck were injured.  9&10 News

  • Local tourism officials met on Thursday at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa with nearly 300 tourism workers and officials to plan ways to grow the region's economic benefit from the 2025 travel season.  Traverse City Record-Eagle
  • City commissioners approved a three-year agreement with Traverse Connect that assigns $52,500 for the first year—raising by 3% each year—in an effort to boost local business growth.
