- ➤ Team Elmer’s and the Traverse City Water/Wastewater Maintenance Division will begin replacing private galvanized water lines on Monday, June 16 on the 700 and 800 blocks of Sixth Street and the 100 and 200 blocks of S. Spruce Street. Work will cause sidewalk and intermittent street closures — residents are advised to plan alternate routes. Traverse City Record-Eagle
- ➤ The Grand Traverse Kennel Club kicked off its annual Cherry Capital Classic dog show Friday at the Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds. The weekend-long event features competitions in confirmation — rally and obedience. Traverse City Record-Eagle

- ➤ Mexican Consul General Roberto Nicholas Vazquez told Traverse City residents that the Mexican people are their partners—not enemies—and said his message of hope comes as trade ties between Mexico and Michigan strengthen.
