  • A 47-year-old Lewiston man named Daniel Kendrick was killed just after midnight Monday when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle while trying to cross US 31 North in East Bay Township — the investigation remains ongoing.  9&10 News

  • De Food Truck has found a permanent home in Interlochen to serve gluten-free and lactose-free meals made with fresh local produce — the hub will host community events, add a speaker system for live music, and introduce walking trails and a boardwalk in the future.  9&10 News

  • The Antrim County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to locate Kenneth 'Kenny' MacQuarrie—authorities have not disclosed why they want to speak with him.  UpNorthLive

  • Consumers Energy is urging Traverse City residents to save energy—by running appliances during cooler hours and setting thermostats to 78 degrees—to help lower bills during the ongoing heat wave.   • The infamous barge now has a new owner + after five years of moving around Michigan waters amid fuel spills and legal action, the vessel may finally be retired from the long saga. Former owner Don Balcom, 90, said he was ready to sell the barge to move on with his life.  UpNorthLive
