- ➤ Traverse City's Downtown Development Authority hired a new communications and special projects coordinator, Carly Nicholas, a University of Michigan graduate and 2021 Glen Lake High School alumna who began her role on July 1 and was introduced to the board at its monthly meeting on Friday — a hire that is expected to boost city communications.
