  • A fire broke out Saturday afternoon in the patient parking deck at Munson Healthcare—officials believe a parked vehicle sparked the blaze that damaged two cars but did not cause injuries or disrupt patient care—and investigators are looking into the incident.  UpNorthLive

  • After midnight, the old TKS printing press at 1621 Keane Dr. in Garfield Township turned words and pictures into the daily newspaper, marking the end of an era for print. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Traverse City Commission will appoint an interim city manager and city clerk today at 7 p.m. at the Governmental Center—officials are considering Clerk Benjamin Marentette for the interim city manager role and Deputy City Clerk Sarah Lutz for interim city clerk following a separation agreement with former City Manager Liz Vogel, with a full-time appointment planned for next year.  UpNorthLive
