- ➤ State officials announced on Wednesday that they will replace the pedestrian bridge over U.S. 31 in East Bay Township despite obstacles—funding and site location challenges. - ➤ Residents and business owners in East Bay Township will get a chance to weigh in on a plan to create a Corridor Improvement Authority for the U.S. 31 North corridor at an open house on July 30—one session will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at East Bay Township Hall (1965 N. Three Mile Road) and a second from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Hopscotch Brick Oven & Taproom. The event follows a nine-month planning process with over 700 community members and will discuss improvements like new pedestrian crossings, ongoing sidewalk maintenance, and corridor beautification. 9&10 News
