- ➤ Munson Healthcare announced a $120,000 donation to fund Community Connections, a free program that helps families get medical, dental, behavioral, and other support services across 31 northern counties — the funding will run for two years. Traverse City Record-Eagle

- ➤ After months of community outcry, the DNR will replace the state park pedestrian bridge with an ADA compliant version that links visitors to the beach — a plan backed by state lawmakers. Rep. - ➤ Jeff Meilbeck is the new executive director at the Bay Area Transportation Authority after a nationwide search with over 100 applicants and will begin his role on Oct. 1 — replacing interim director Chris Davis who led the agency since former director Kelly Dunham left in late 2024. 9&10 News

- ➤ Hoopology LLC returns its Youth Basketball Training Academy to Traverse City West Senior High School from July 28 to Aug. 14, offering a three-week program for middle and high school athletes.
