- ➤ Two local groups teamed up to fight food insecurity by running the Sunshine Bus initiative that gives healthy meals and hygiene kits when school is out. The bus operates on Wednesday—Friday until August 25 and organizers urge more donations for the upcoming school year. UpNorthLive
- ➤ Two northern Michigan non-profits were each awarded $134,000 by Impact 100—Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation will use its funds to cover final construction costs for an affordable housing project in Petoskey, and Manna Food Project will install 24/7 food lockers outside its Harbor Springs building.
