- ➤ Traverse City Streets Division will begin lane closures on Fourteenth Street on Monday, August 25 for a mill and pave project between Cass Street and Maple Street that will finish by Sept. 12 if the weather holds. The work will remove two inches of old asphalt and add three inches of new asphalt and may cause delays for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists—detour signs are in place but access for homes and businesses will be maintained. 9&10 News

- ➤ Grand Traverse County’s new mental health crisis center is moving to phase three as Munson Healthcare and Northern Lakes Community Mental Health plan to add nine adult psychiatric beds and expand 24/7 urgent care—officials say the center has served over 280 patients from 20 counties since it opened in January and most crises are resolved with follow-up care.
