- ➤ Watco bought Great Lakes Central Railroad on Wednesday and plans to boost service, add new rail customers, and invest in track maintenance on its 386-mile network — which links Ann Arbor to Cadillac, with branches to Middleton, Oakley, Petoskey, Traverse City and Yuma — as operations will begin once the Surface Transportation Board approves.
