- ➤ Traverse City will host the 11th annual Northwest Michigan Housing Summit at the Hagerty Center from Oct 27-28. The conference—titled 'Rooted in Community: Housing Solutions for Collective Impact'—will offer keynote speeches, workshops, roundtable discussions and legislative updates on regional housing trends. - ➤ Traverse City Dance Project holds the first Northern Michigan Dance Festival from tomorrow through Sunday, October 12 at Milliken Auditorium + the Dennos Museum Center. - ➤ Local testing and development company Cambium Analytica was acquired by Ann Arbor-based NSF— a global testing and certification firm serving 110 countries. - ➤ Michigan State Police, the Coast Guard and the Department of Natural Resources held a search-and-rescue training session Tuesday at Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore near Point Oneida. - ➤ On Tuesday night, Peninsula Township planning commissioners reviewed a special use permit for the Seven Hills property after complaints and reports of rule violations.
