  • Delta Air Lines announced that it will extend its seasonal air service from Cherry Capital Airport to Atlanta next spring — direct flights will begin on May 23, 2026, nearly a month earlier than this year’s service.  Traverse City Record-Eagle

CULTURE NEWS

  • Traverse City's Beer Week starts tomorrow and runs through November 15, with more than two dozen breweries and taprooms hosting special events, discounts, and new beer releases. Visitors can sign up for a digital passport (available via text) to earn points toward a mesh snapback hat prize.  UpNorthLive
  • On Monday, November 10, a special online event at 7 p.m.—hosted on the UpNorthLive YouTube page—will mark the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking that claimed 29 mariners.   • Yesterday's Weekly Fishing Report was the last one for the season because seasonal creel clerks finished their work—ice fishing reports will resume early next year when more reports are received.
