- ➤ On Sunday night, a fire damaged a U.S. Coast Guard family's home on Spring Street in Kingsley, and extra fire departments and community groups responded amid freezing temperatures; no injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation while Kingsley United Methodist Church collects donations. - ➤ Dancers from Company Dance Traverse performed at four nursing homes (French Manor, Grand Traverse Pavilions, Orchard Creek, and Traverse Manor) on Monday, Dec. 22 to share holiday cheer with local seniors, continuing a Christmas break tradition for three years. UpNorthLive
- ➤ Traverse City will hold its 17th CherryT Ball Drop celebration on New Year's Eve at the corner of Cass and Front streets.
